Questions We Get Asked (...often)

These are the top inbound questions we receive almost on a daily basis.  It's not a complete list by any means, but we do constantly update it based on frequency.  If we do not answer your question here, please call us direct at the number listed above or drop us a message via our contact form.

How do I upload files to your File Upload Mgt. Center?
Our File Mgt. Center is password protected to ensure that no one can abuse our system. If you are an existing client or a prospective customer, please contact us letting us know you would like to gain access to our File Upload Center and a Pines Signs Representative will provide you with the necessary access to do so.
What type of files do you accept?
Our File Upload Mgt. Center can accept the following file formats, up to 50MB;

  • PDF
  • EPS
  • TIFF
  • JPG or JPEG
  • AI
  • CDR
  • PSD
  • AI
  • ZIP

We recommend the following be in-place prior to your upload:

Raster or Bitmap Files - Must be 300 DPI or higher if they are to be enlarged for printing.
Not sure? Call us: (954) 434-6125.

Vector Files -  If your file is for cutting vinyl or screen printing, we need your file in vector format.  This means all the text and graphics in your file must be vectorized. Convert all outlines to cuves.  Vector files are acceptable in: Illustrator (CS1 or lower), CorelDraw (X3 or lower), PhotoShop (CS2 or lower) and PDF.

Our File Upload Center prunes-out files that are older than 72 hours.  Therefore, if you upload a file, please let us know you have done so, so that we may download it and remove it from the server.  It's a very straightforward process.  You (or we) upload files, you (or we) download files.  If you have multiple files, ZIP-them up to save space... otherwise you'll have to do multiple uploads in 50MB increments.

If you have files that are very large (100MB+), please mail your CD/DVD directly to us:

How long does it take to build my sign?
Assuming design, concept, and identity are all communicated to us correctly, we present you with a FINAL proof. Once the final proof of your art is approved & signed for, we enter the production phase. Production can span approximately 2-3 days. We do everything to ensure we meet or exceed production deadlines. There are some exceptions, for example, ADA-Braile signs take about 4 to 5 weeks.
What about colors?
Specify PMS numbers or provide a color sample.  Matching to a previous color can be very tricky and the more supporting information you can provide, the better. A sample of a previous print you are satisfied with is a good start, along with the specifications from the graphic artist or printer.
Can you design or re-design our logo?
Yes, we are often approached with requests to design or spruce-up design work.  Once completed, you'll receive a CD/DVD with all your files.  Please complete our Qoute Form for a free estimate.
Do you deliver & install final product?
Absolutely.  Just let us know at the onset of the project prior to receving a quote from us that you want us to "deliver & install" the final product.
Do you do full or partial vehicle wraps?
We do both full & partial vehicle wraps.  When you establish contact with us for this type of project, be sure to include the make, model, and year of your vehicle, and a detailed description of your graphical goals. Submit any artwork you intend to use on your wrap.
